In leadership, evaluation is more than just giving feedback - It’s about guiding growth. Great leaders don’t simply tell people what they did right or wrong; they observe, listen, and understand before offering insights that inspire action.
When leaders master evaluation, they create a culture of trust, continuous learning, and high performance. In Toastmasters, every evaluation we give is a practice round for the real world - whether we’re leading a meeting, a project, or an entire organization.
We often say in Toastmasters that “evaluation is the breakfast of champions.” Why? Because constructive, thoughtful feedback doesn’t just tell us how we’re doing - it shows us how we can grow.
