The Skive are a three-piece punk/garage racket straight outta Stevenage, which is genuinely the 42nd worst town in the UK. They’ve got a reputation for blowing the roof off every joint they play with blistering speed, reckless anthems, and lyrics that hit harder than a hangover.

Escape Route are a 4-piece rock band from North Hertfordshire. Influenced by the 70’s to modern day rock, Escape Route not only perform in their own style with a set of catchy original songs, but are excited to continue their journey to introduce their anthemic riffs and dirty blues following their release of debut single and video to their original song No “Crawling” this year. Following a string of epic gigs in 2025 including a spot at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Saracens Showdown match and supporting Nirvana UK at their sold out gig back in May at Club 85, Escape Route are back with new songs and a sound that will leave you wanting more.

Left Ventricle are a dynamic alternative rock three piece band from Hertfordshire, also based in Brighton. Drawing influences from Royal Blood, QOTSA, Jack White and Nirvana, their infectious melodies combined with the unique song writing of Stan Cooper, the guitarist and lead vocals speaks directly of their generation fusing both melancholy with soaring guitar riffs. United with Danny Butler on bass and Rowan Scourfield on drums driving the energy that fuels their live performances of their truly original material.

Stray Fox is a Hertfordshire based 3-piece rock band that consists of Barney, the singer and guitarist who is inspired by Hendrix and Radiohead; Dylan, the bass player and third-generation musician influenced by bass players such as Carol Kaye and James Jamerson, as well as his grandad Andy Pyle; and Digby, the drummer who draws inspiration from Jack Ryan and John Bonham. Playing for the first time at Club 85, this band is one of Escape Route’s favourite bands locally and they truly deserve great things as not only are they musically brilliant, but are one of the nicest bands you’ll probably meet this year.

Young and exciting new band, FO1 will be showcasing their original songs for the first time at Club 85. This 4 piece band could be your new favourite band and one not to miss. They started playing an incredible bunch of catchy covers, and now you can hear their catchy singalong heart felt originals as they join a night to remember.

Age: persons aged 16+ may attend without a chaperone provided they have photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.

We are just a 5-minute stroll from the station; like all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge, Peterborough and London.
