Contemporary Masterclass Ages 7-10
Join us for a Contemporary dance masterclass with Retha Du Plooy, a guest teacher here at ABBA Dance. Retha has trained with Ballet West, Complexions Ballet, Ohio Conservatory of Ballet, and many more fantastic schools. This class is for ages 7-10 and will provide dancers who attend the opportunity to broaden their dance horizons and receive valuable feedback from an accomplished teacher. If your dancer is 11 years or older please visit abbadance.com to register them at a different link. The minimum age for this class is 7 years old. Dancers must turn 7 before the day of the masterclass, no exceptions.
What to wear: Wear either a leotard or t-shirt and wear leggings or loose fitting athletic pants. Absolutely no shorts as dancers will be doing floor work and we don't want students to suffer floor burn. Hair must be pulled back. Socks are required. Don't forget to bring water!
Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early to ensure you are in class on time and receive the full warm up. For their own safety, dancers who arrive after the first 5 minutes of class will not be permitted to enter.
This class is hosted at ABBA Dance however since it is taught by an outside teacher it is not specifically a Christian/ Spiritual class. All music will be instrumental and all content will be appropriate however please use parental discretion and take your family's spiritual convictions into account before registering.
Our address is 1586 Center Rd. Hinckley, Ohio. Our studio is located on the second story of Hinckley Prep. Use the far right driveway to go to the back parking lot (with playground) and enter through the double doors. Go up the stairs and there you are!
