The Actors Lab - Scene & Monologue Workshop
We are excited to announce the next installment of The Actors Lab, a series of peer led stage performance workshops to explore the craft of stage acting, play-writing and play production.
The Eastside Actors Studio Theater is a place for people with a passion for the world of theater, whether it be performing, writing, directing, or producing. If you have a passion project, we invite you to join us to find community, connection and foster creativity.
The Actors Lab is about approaching acting as a craft. Live theater is one of the last few genres of art that cannot be replaced by AI. It is real, it is raw, it is ultimately human. The Actors Lab seeks to create a safe, supportive, welcoming space for all who wish to strengthen and stretch their instrument, whether it is working on finding emotional connection or perfecting comedic timing.
When: Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Pacific Tsunami Museum, 130 Kamehameha Avenue, downtown Hilo
What: Please bring a scene or monologue of your choice to read in front of the group. It can be from a play, film, TV show, or an original work.
This is a peer-led creative workshop. Anyone attending is welcome to step up and perform their selected scene and also provide notes to their fellow actors after each reading.
Every Eastside Actors Studio Theater activity is a safe, inclusive space. Absolutely no bullying is ever permitted.
