The Forest in Your Backyard: A Homeowner’s Guide to Managing Woodlands.

Come join Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Center and Sanctuary staff on a guided walk and talk through our 1,039 acre forest property located in the southeastern corner of Columbia County. Rheinstrom Hill is home to a forest habitat demonstration project that started in 2012 under the guidance of a Forest Stewardship Plan through Audubon New York's Healthy Forests Initiative. Landowners can learn more about essential conservation and stewardship techniques that help improve bird habitat, control invasives species and addresses how overabundant deer browse can threaten forest health.
