Art on Tap: Make a Tin "Sugar" Skull

Celebrate Día de los Muertos by creating your own colorful skulls! In this workshop, we’ll use metal sheets and bright Sharpie markers to design vibrant, decorative skulls inspired by traditional Day of the Dead art. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity.

$45 registration fee covers all materials and includes 2 glasses of beer, wine, or N/A beverage. Additional drinks and food may be purchased on-site at 10% discount. Duration of the class is about 2 hours.

Instructor: Tia Maggio

Tia is an artist and educator with a passion for inspiring others. Formally trained at Pratt Institute in graphic design and advertising and at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in fine art and art education, Tia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work.

She has taught art to all ages at independent schools in Virginia, in her own art studio, and at various libraries in the professional role of Librarian and Programming. Tia naturally fosters creativity and says, “A great experience as an art teacher is when students and I share an Ah-Ha moment.”
