Shamanism is one of the oldest forms of healing and divination on the planet, spanning across cultures and continents for thousands of years. At its core it is a deep connection and understanding of nature and working with the wisdom and energies found there. A Shaman undergoes training to be a bridge between the Earth realms and the realms of Spirit, being able to travel within those realms via journeywork to meet, communicate, and work with Spirit Guides and Ancestors for guidance, insight, and healing.
During our time together you will get an introduction to the core aspects of Shamanism, and will take a guided journey together on the beat of a ceremonial drum, to meet your Spirit Guides and work with the energies of the Sturgeon Full Moon, named after the abundance of giant Sturgeon fish present this time of year in the Great Lakes. Sturgeon fish represent strength, resiliency, & depth. Their scientific family is ancient and oft considered to be living fossils, with some of their species dating back over 200 million years. This moon is just past Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas, a Gaelic celebration of the beginning of the bountiful harvesttime of summer. We will work with our Spirit Guides, the Sturgeon fish, and the energies of the summer's bounty to align with our own strength & resilience, as we gain insight on how we can create more abundant blessings as we walk our paths.
Bring a blanket, pillow, yoga mat or sleeping pad, and an eye covering (scarf or bandana or eye pillow) as you wish for comfort. You may choose to be seated or lay down during the journeywork. You will also want to bring a journal or notebook to record your experiences. Bring water and any snacks you may want to have on hand.
We will meet at beautiful healing space on the second floor of The Earth Magic Shoppe at 39 School Street in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. Overflow parking is available at the library parking lot diagonally across the street.
Class space is limited to 10 people.

Biography
Jen Knight Shamanic Medicine Woman, owner of Spirit Light and Spirit Light Botanicals, is an internationally accomplished healer bringing over 28 years of experience to her practice. She draws upon an array of alternative healing modalities to facilitate energetic and spiritual healing on all levels of one’s being, balancing body, mind, & spirit. Jen is a Shamanic Medicine Woman, Herbalist, Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Shaman, and Psychic Medium. Her gifts and skills come from her lineage, going back to her childhood, and studying with Shamanic Healing Practitioners, Reiki Master Teachers, and Herbalists across North, Central, and South America.
Jen is incredibly passionate about connecting people with the Earth, and helping them open up to the healing, grounding, and centering energies found within the Earth and the Astral realms. Many of the ailments people are challenged by can be remedied by clearing and resetting the energy field, removing cording, and stagnant energy that is no longer serving us, grounding and centering, and re-establishing our energetic connection to Source.
