This summer marks a major milestone for one of Ohio's most beloved outdoor destinations. Rocky Fork State Park is celebrating its 75th Anniversary on Saturday, August 9th with a day filled with festivities, and appreciation for the natural beauty that has drawn visitors for generations.
Nestled in Highland County just east of Hillsboro, Rocky Fork State Park has been a staple of Ohio's state park system since it was officially established in 1950. Known for its sparkling 2,080-acre lake, scenic trails, diverse wildlife, and welcoming campgrounds, the park has become a cherished retreat for locals and tourists alike.
To commemorate the occasion, the Rocky Fork Campground Volunteers has planned a schedule of events throughout the day, for Saturday, including 50/50 raffle, Carnival days from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the VIP Cabin, Tye Dye 1:00PM -2:00PM at the Buckey Shelter -shirts can be purchased in the camp store, Hospitality Hour is from 2:15PM to 3:15PM at the Buckeye Shelter, 4PM -kids craft at the VIP Cabin, and a movie at 9:00PM.
