5th Annual Frank Thomas Memorial Fluke Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 14th, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM at Bakers Marina on the Bay, 1 Marina Bay Ct., Highlands, NJ 07732.
Registration is $200 per boat with up to 6 anglers, Kayak or Land Angler fee, $50 per person. Junior Anglers 12 and under are free. Fee includes Post Weigh in BBQ Cook-Out, and 1 complimentary drink. Absolutely NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED. The Captain's Meeting is the night before on June 13th, 6:00-8:00 PM @ the Driftwood Bar, 300 Bay Avenue, Highlands, NJ 07732. The Captain's Meeting is not mandatory if you have pre-paid. Fees can be paid in full before the date on HighlandsNJ.com. The fee must be paid in full by the 13th before 8 pm.

Annual Frank Thomas Memorial Fluke Tournament Regulations
Saturday, June 14, 2025 – Headquarters: Baker's Marina on the Bay, Atlantic St. Highlands, NJ
To be eligible, all flukes must be weighed in at our official weigh station. Fishing lines in the water no earlier than 6:00 AM EST on 6/14/25. The weigh-in starts at 1 PM and will end promptly at 3 PM. Any fluke brought to the weigh station after 3 PM will not count towards the tournament unless the boat arrives at the marina by 3 PM and proceeds promptly and directly to the weigh-in. Boats can call into the marina on channel VHF 67 for information or a launch if conditions prevent entry into the marina.
If two fish tie by weight, the first fish weighed in will hold the position on the leader board. If two fish are the same weight and are weighed at the same time, the prizes will be split.

Fishing is restricted to the bays, rivers, and ocean north of Manasquan Inlet and west of Jones Inlet on Long Island.
Failure to follow all fishing regulations of NY and/or NJ is subject to disqualification.
Fish must be presented by the paid contestant who caught the fish. Only hook-and-line-caught fish are eligible. Prize payouts will be made following the ceremonies after the weigh-in.
It is the responsibility of the contestants to determine if conditions on the water or land are safe to fish. Baker's Marina on the Bay, the Highlands Business Partnership, its members, and tournament sponsors assume no responsibility or liability for any boats entered or individuals participating in the tournament. If weather conditions prohibit any or all boats from fishing and, as a result, an insufficient number of fish are weighed in for all of the prizes, any leftover prizes will be awarded at the ceremonies after the tournament. All paid participants will be provided identification as well as any boat assignment at the captain’s meeting. The entry fee must be paid in full by the end of the Captain’s Meeting or online by 8pm on the 13th. If payment is not made in full, that person will not be allowed to participate. Finally, there will be no refund.
