REALITY STORE

Reality Store is a life-skills program that is presented to the 8th grade students at HMS. The students were asked to ENVISION themselves at the age of 25 to make come choices...career, where they would live, would they be married, have children, etc. The students will receive a months-salary and will be faced in making "real world" choices. They will be buying groceries, paying for childcare, getting insurance and so on. The goal is that each child will budget wisely, with the occupational choice they made. They will also find it is okay to make a mistake or wrong choice as long as they have the bigger picture in focus. We hope that this program opens their eyes to a wider array of occupational choices the world has to offer.

Managing this program takes quite a bit of assistance. You are being invited to be a part of this wonderful program. If you are interested and available, we'd love for you to participate. You would need to be available from 7:15 am to 11am on Friday, Feb 13th.

The you would be assisting the students with their purchases.
