Heller Nature Center + Prairie Wolf Forest Preserve Bird Walk with Matt Tobin

Join Lake County Audubon Society on a Friday morning walk as we explore a couple of smaller local preserves. We'll first wander through the wooded trails at Heller Nature Center, a Park District of Highland Park nature preserve, and then travel 1 mile to check out the nearby southern section of Prairie Wolf Forest Preserve, which borders the Middle Fork of the North Branch Chicago River and has a trail loop around a central slough. Both sites are under-birded, but still bring in a nice mix of migrating and breeding birds.

This trip will be limited to 12 participants. If you register and realize ahead of time that you will not be able to make the walk, please send a text to the trip leader (Matt Tobin 847-951-1483) so another spot can be re-opened.
