Who should attend:
This workshop is geared for all faith-based organization leaders, administrators, ushers and safety/security team members by providing exposure to resources and references from subject matter experts in houses of worship security.
The workshop will provide the participants an opportunity to:
§ Receive an overview from the State Police on human trafficking
§ Learn about the latest threat known as “Swatting” and how to respond to it
§ Receive information about grants available to non-profit organizations
§ Hear from a local house of worship that was successful in obtaining a grant
§ Improve your preparation and response plans for an armed intruder incident
§ Obtain security best practices for Houses of Worship from DHS
§ Learn about government resources and assistance to the faith-based community
§ Network with other Houses of Worship to share security information
