Join us for an exciting weekend as we proudly present our first-ever Summer Show! This curated exhibition will showcase the incredible work of our talented club members and workshop participants, who have diligently selected their favourite collages to share with the public. You’ll have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of collages that highlight the creativity and imagination at the heart of this unique art form.
Collage is often perceived as a craft, but it is a significant artistic expression rooted in important art movements through history. Artists such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse have demonstrated how collage can challenge perceptions of art, integrating various materials to convey complex ideas. Today, this art form continues to inspire and provoke thought.
During the Summer Show, we will also host FREE taster workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether you are an experienced artist or a curious beginner, these workshops offer a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of collage and create your own masterpiece.
Some artworks will be available for sale, so come ready to purchase a fabulous piece of local art to support our members. Join us in celebrating the vibrant community of artists at The Bay Collage Club, and experience firsthand the creativity and talent that define this remarkable art form.
