This session will be an interactive, case-scenario based learning with options for hands-on discussion with respiratory and pharmaceutical devices. Topics covered will include the diagnosis and management of respiratory illnesses, including the following:

-Pharmaceutical management with albuterol, terbutaline/aminophylline, magnesium
-Indications and considerations
-Set-up and considerations for delivery of continuous albuterol
-Recognition and management of pneumonia/empyema, including antibiotic choices and considerations
-BiPaP: set-up, indications, tips/tricks, titration
-Ventilator: set-up, tips/tricks, titration
-Precedex infusion, intranasal benzodiazepine
-RSI medications, choices and considerations
