'A Life in Ruins'

Colin Richards of CJR Heritage, and co-founder of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, has worked on numerous heritage building projects both nationally and across Europe. Local projects include the restoration of the Mayor's Parlour in Hereford, a dovecote in Ross-on-Wye, and residential buildings in Leintwardine, Ludlow, and Pudlestone.

He served as Historic Environment Manager for Shropshire Council from 2009 to 2014, has advised the National Trust, and has contributed his expertise to the BBC and Discovery History TV channels. In 2007, he was awarded an MBE for services to building conservation.
