One Book One Henderson Brings a Community Together

Henderson NV – For the fourth year One Book One Henderson is aiming to get the local community reading and talking about the same book. This year’s selection The Fox Wife is available at Henderson Library locations and accessible online. A special author event will take place in October. One Book One Henderson is a community connections event provided by Henderson Libraries with support from the City of Henderson.
Written by New York Times bestselling author Yangsze Choo The Fox Wife begins in 1908 Manchuria and explores a world of mortals and spirits humans and beasts and their dazzling intersection. Epic in scope and full of singular unforgettable characters The Fox Wife is a stunning novel about old loves and second chances the depths of maternal love and ancient folktales that may very well be true.
“This epic tale will enthrall readers of all ages” says Henderson Libraries Adult Programming Coordinator Markita Dawson. “We hear about book clubs from so many of our patrons and are excited to share this community-wide ‘book club’ and the discussions it will bring.”
Be sure to save the evening of October 1 for the in-person author event at 5:30 p.m. at the Henderson Multigenerational Center (250 S. Green Valley Parkway) adjacent to the Paseo Verde Library. The author will sign books during the event so either bring your own copy or purchase one there.
