About the Songwriters:
Steve Simpson has been writing songs as a hobby for 25 years and performs them regularly at acoustic music venues in the Carolinas. In 2006 he released his first CD, “Better Late”; in 2013 he released his second CD, “Dusty Lawn Chairs”; and in 2021 he released his third CD, “The Creek.” Steve is the coordinator of Southern Songwriters Association. Tracy Simpson is a singer/songwriter from Fort Mill, SC and board member of the Charlotte Folk Society. She has a soothing yet alluring vocal style and performs her original songs along with acoustic guitar. Multi-time finalist in the Don Gibson singer-songwriter showcase, Tracy can often be found performing her original music at intimate venues in the Charlotte area and is thrilled to lend on-point harmonies to many talented friends both onstage and in-studio.
PJ Brunson is a Rock Hill singer-songwriter with folk roots and an easy listening vibe. Her songs often center around the themes of life, love, and family. She performs full-time around the Carolinas and beyond. She is also half of the piano-violin duo “Ananda” with Laurie Neal. The two perform original instrumentals they describe as Celtic-Classical-New Age fusion. PJ hosts the monthly songwriter showcase at Illumination Wines. For more info:
