🌀 Invitation to a Dance/Movement Therapy Workshop
Expressive–Relational DMT (DMT-ER®️) 🌀
Did you know that movement can be a profound language that goes beyond words?
Join us in this Dance/Movement Therapy workshop and discover the essence of healing through group movement — where expressive dance and human connection open new spaces for awareness, release, and deeper connection with yourself and others.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to the unique DMT-ER®️ approach, developed in the 1990s in Rome by psychiatrist and dance movement therapist Vincenzo Bellia. This method integrates the artistic foundations of Expression Primitive, group analysis, and the movement theory of Laban/Bartenieff, restoring dance to its original social and therapeutic roots.

🏝️ What will you experience in this workshop?
Rhythm as a therapeutic and bodily organizer: rhythm is used to restore internal and external balance for both the individual and the group, while rhythm disturbances are seen as indicators of psychological difficulties.
Creative expression and human connection: creativity is not simply self-celebration, but a “playful process” that generates new identities within the group.
Immersion in collective movement techniques that rebuild body image through group interaction, following Maria Chace’s model of rediscovering the body within a social framework.
Activating rhythm as a relational organizer.
Using props and symbolic tools as channels of communication to support therapeutic transformation in the group.
Enhancing physical and emotional connection.
Restoring vitality through collective rhythmic experiences.
Empowering personal growth within a therapeutic and expressive relational framework.
---
💐 Structure of the therapeutic session:
Begins with a warm-up to engage the body in a shared space.
Followed by individual, pair, and group movement explorations, sometimes supported by tools such as ropes or fabrics to encourage embodied relational expression.
Ends with integrative activities that help embody the experience and prepare participants to return to daily life.
