Join us at the Busch Branch Library on Saturday, August 16th from 2-4 for our program, “Adopt a House Plant”!
Do you have indoor plants you no longer want or have cuttings you’d like to share with others? Are you looking for a new houseplant or cutting for yourself? If so, you can bring rooted plants to the library in dirt or loose cuttings to swap for something someone else has brought in. Plants can be brought the day of the swap.
Swap Rules:
– Plants should be well-watered, healthy, and pest-free.
– Plants should be in a container with soil, or as rooted cuttings in water or moist paper towel.
– Please label plants with what they are.
– Please only bring pots that you are willing to part with.
– Do not bring plants to the library before the swap.
For this house plant swap, we’ll have three tables: one you can put your plant on to swap with someone else, one where you can leave your plant and take another, and the last table will be a freebie table where you can leave plants you want to get rid of and don’t care about swapping. Didn’t bring a plant to swap? You can choose from something on the freebie table to take home.
If you have questions about this program, please call the library at 586-353-0580.
