This is an invitation out to workforce groups in Breathitt, Knott, Floyd and Perry Counties to join the Starfire Workforce Working Group, so we can coordinate hiring local workers on the Starfire Solar Project by BrightNight Power.
We can do this by making a list of qualified local workers. Then, we can show that list to BrightNight's construction contractor and ask for those workers to be hired first, before they seek labor from outside Kentucky.
I'm curious what roles local workforce orgs can fill as we create that list together.
