Looking for a way to reconnect with the physical world around you whether that be growing, cooking or building? Why not join one of our WE BUILD BRIGHTON CIC ’SUNDAY SESSIONS’?
We will be running our Sunday Sessions 11am-3pm every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) at Natal Road allotment in Moulsecoomb, Brighton.
Each week we will respond to the present moment ie. with what is needed to be tended, planted, harvested, cooked and what structures we can build to support us in doing so such as cooking, dinning, shelter, water collection, vertical gardening and more! This is very much a place for you to come as you are and engage as much or as little as you like on that day - each session will include tea/coffee, a communal lunch as well as opportunity to take away any surplus produce.
Typical running order...
10:55 - Arrive (all meet at the grassed area on the corner of Natal and Nesbitt road - just before the gate)
11:00 - 11:30 Welcome, check in with tea/coffee, observe land and create collective plan for the day (if need inspiration suggestions will be given)
11:30 - 14:00 Work on land (growing, cooking or building)
14:00 - 15:00 Lunch, followed by tidy up and check out including any surplus food
