Yoga Trance Dance, also known as Joy Meditation, is a movement meditation with music as the teacher, offering a unique Be Yoga experience that guarantees good vibes and no hangovers!
Led by Bryony, this is a part-guided and part free-flow meditation with some accessible slow-flow yoga throughout; no yoga experience is needed, and complete beginners are always very welcome.
Beginning with seated meditation, we start with simple breathing practices, grounding and connecting in the circle space before moving into some gentle, slow yoga.
As the rhythm changes, we move around the space in spontaneous flow while Bryony guides some rhythmic kriyas to raise the vibration.
The ecstatic dance is where the music becomes our guide with playlists including world music, dance music, old and new, ambient trance and live percussion.
We slow things down with more yoga stretches and deep relaxation before we close back in the circle in meditation.
Relaxation and a gong bath close the session before we gather & ground together.
Everyone is welcome to dance for joy; no yoga or dance experience is necessary.
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
