Non stop dancing at the Hawthorn Town Hall

ANNOUNCEMENT:- SENIOR’S WEEK DANCE. MONDAY 6th OCTOBER, 2025. As the Annual Melbourne Town Hall dance has been reimagined in the name of ‘Inclusion and Diversity’ (As if the dance over the past 15 years apparently hasn’t been this?). Peter Sellars is holding a dance at the HAWTHORN TOWN HALL. Doors to open at 10.30am - (You won’t be left out on the street.) Dancing to start at 11am and go through to 4pm. There will be 2 bands (The SILHOUETTES & TRUTONES) - Cost will be $20. (The shire requires that the hire fee includes 5 council workers to be employed to attend to your every needs).

A REMINDER: All public transport this week is FREE to Seniors. (Trains - Busses - Trams)

The format of the dance will be each band to play for half hour stints with no major supper break, just continuous dancing. Traditional New Vogue and Old Time dance program will also include a bracket of Line Dance and Rock & Roll.
BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN:- Due to the smaller venue it WILL sell out. (You can also pre-book in for dinner after the dance at a nearby restaurant.)
