About the event

Mothers Day 2026
Join us this Mother's Day for afternoon tea and pottery painting.

Afternoon tea is £15 per person and features a variety of sandwiches, savouries, cakes, and most importantly, scones. This is payable at the point of booking with the pottery payable on the day. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance of booking and we will do our best to accommodate. For children we can offer a Childrens box including a sandwich, yoghurt and crisps these are £4.95 please select childrens option for this.

Our afternoon tea offers unlimited tea and coffee, freshly brewed in our studio kitchen, just for you on this special Mothering Sunday. There will be a £1 surcharge for upgrading to a milk based coffee (Latte, cappucino and hot chocolate)

During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore our wide selection of pottery pieces to paint and decorate. Even if you think you're not creative, we have plenty of ideas and aids available for you to choose from. Prices start at £10.00 per item which includes our professional glazing and in house firing. You will be welcome to come back and join us at another session to refine or add extra detail to an item that doesn't get finished, to help with our overheads this would incur a £5 studio fee. You only pay for what you paint on the day.

Please ensure you notify us if you need a highchair (this can be booked as a non painting participant also any pushchairs) This avoids an overcrowded studio.

Parking is available on Leiston Road - CB9 8JJ

Items painted during sessions will be left with us to dry, clear glazed, dry again and then fire through our kilns - we estimate this to take around 10 days depending how busy the studio is. We will let you know the estimated turn around time at the beginning of your session - if you are looking for 'Amazon Prime Pottery' this isn't for you! You can not rush these processes!
