Forest Therapy at Haverford College Arboretum

Immerse your senses in the forest green and floral backdrop of this magical land, as we gently ease into our bodies and join with the more-than-human world. This special forest bathing experience will be nourishing to the soul, offering a safe and spacious container to explore, unfurl, and restore on the natural land.

Our wander will be guided in the practice of Shinrin-Yoku (“Forest Bathing”), where we will bathe in the forest’s atmosphere while restoring our health and wellness through guided practices and the support of a community circle.

Our walk begins with deepening our connection with the land and inviting the arrival of our senses with a guided mindfulness meditation. We'll wander and discover the hidden gems of this land with a series of exploratory invitations that offer strengthening of our roots and playfulness with nature. Our walk will conclude with an integration of herbal tea, light snacks, and shared reflections.
