Haugaland Board Game Club together with our FLGS Game Ninja will be hosting a Board Game Day when BGG@SEA Fjords is visiting Haugesund as their last stop on their Norwegian cruise Friday 2025-07-04.

The Independence of the Seas is arriving quayside in Haugesund at 08:00 and will be departing at *17:00, we will be open for gaming the entire time.
Location
We have booked the breakfast area at Hotel Neptun (Easy Stay Haugesund / Sure Hotel) and Game Ninja has a gaming area in their basement and we are located in the City center (see adresses and links at the bottom).
We can comfortably seat approx. 32+ at the Hotel and 48 at Game Ninja
It's an open gaming event for attendees of BGG@SEA and locals/visitors alike, it's a free event and it's first come first serve.

Our location is approx. 23 min walk from the port, or approx. 1 min walk from Stop #5 of the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour.
The Sightseeing City Train seems to only have 1 place where you can Hop off / Hop on and that would be the last stop on their tour at Our Savior's Church and it would be a 5 minutes walk from there.
Drinks and food
We will be serving coffee and water for free at the Hotel, but cold beverages and some candy are sold in the Board game store next door.
In addition there is a big grocery store 2 minutes walk from us, and several International Food grocery stores.
Within a 2 minutes walk you can also get take away as, Sandwiches, Pizza, Kebab, Sushi, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Cupcakes, Donuts and other pastries and desserts.
Board Game Library
We will provide a Collection of games from the Clubs Library, in addition, the local attendees will bring games, Game Ninja also got a small Library for games in their gaming area. The Library will most likely be split between the two gaming areas.
If there is a specific game you would like to request, post a comment under her and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
We will try and check if we can provide games for requests made within Saturday 2025-06-29. Games requested after this date depend on the capacity we have to follow up on the requests.
If you want to bring your own game, og play a game you purchase at Game Ninja this is of course ok, but you are responsible for keeping track of any game you bring/buy.
Evening Gaming
For any locals or visitors that want to game after the Cruise leave we ask that you plan for any game that will not be finished prior to, or starting after the cruise is leaving Haugesund to be set up and played at Game Ninja's gaming area so we can start cleaning out at the Hotel.

* IMPORTANT: If you are attending the Cruise you are yourself responsible for being at the port in time prior to the ship departing.
Please check with the ship when the "All board" time is.
If you are planning on taking any of the Hop-On, Hop-Off alternatives, make sure to check for when and where the last departure leaves for the cruise terminal.
Walking to the port takes approx. 23 minutes according to Google Maps
If you are planning on taking a taxi you should book your taxi in advance with a pickup time that allows for slight delays, driving time is approx. 5 minutes in low traffic according to Google Maps.
Maxi Taxi with a capacity of up to 16 persons can be booked, depending on availability at the time of booking.
