Join us for an engaging and meaningful evening as we continue the Lift Every Voice speaker series in partnership with the Round Table Companions for Racial Equity. This installment, "Pathways in Partnerships: Veterans," will highlight community-driven efforts to support and empower veterans.
Featured speakers include:
• Carla Wilson-Neil, a distinguished member of the Veterans Authority Board of Directors, appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who brings a wealth of insight into veteran advocacy and public service.
• Willie Taylor, Director of the nonprofit organization I Carried the Cross Foundation, which is dedicated to uplifting and supporting homeless veterans through outreach and resources.
Come hear their stories, explore the power of partnerships, and learn how we can all contribute to building a more equitable future for those who have served.

Join us for the next installment of the Lift Every Voice speaker series, presented in partnership with the Round Table Companions for Racial Equity. This engaging evening, titled "Pathways in Partnerships: Another Side of Government — Michigan Native American Affairs," will celebrate the stories, perspectives, and governmental roles of Native American communities in Michigan.
We are honored to welcome representatives from the Gun Lake Tribe, who will share personal narratives and insights into tribal governance, cultural preservation, and the critical partnerships shaping the lives of Indigenous people in our region.
Lift Every Voice: Native American Lifestories seeks to foster inclusion and deepen our understanding of the rich cultural heritage and civic contributions of Native American communities.
Come hear their stories, explore the power of partnerships, and learn how we can all contribute to building a more equitable future for those in our community.
