FROM STEPNEY TO HELL….AND BACK…book launch

1200 Postcards and Printed Matter books are proud to host the official launch of Hastings author Geoff Martin’s book tracing his father’s life story from Depression-ravaged Stepney in the 1930’s through to slaving as a POW on Death Railway and eventual liberation and a life long fight against the establishment for recognition.

It’s a story that charts some of the most important, brutal and turbulent events of the 20th century that Cliff Martin and many others of his generation found themselves catapulted into. It’s also a story of the power of hope, comradeship, love and survival against all the odds.

Geoff will talk about the book and take questions. Copies will be available on the night or across the road at Printed Matter Books on Queens.
