Folk returns to Fairlight

Fairlight’s folk revival returns to The Cove for another evening in conjunction with the Fairlight History Group to celebrate The Hayloft Folk Club from the 70s & 80s.

About the artists
Garry Blakeley is a virtuoso fiddle player and performed at the original Hayloft Folk Club with a number of house bands and in the group Brian Boru and Burgess & Blakeley.

On the Irish pub circuit for many years with his great mate Pete Fyfe in the popular duo Band of Two, more recently he has worked with his son Edd. Garry is a full time member of the celebrated supergroup Feast of Fiddles.

Joining up with his good friend Bear Lucas, an exceptional guitarist and singer, they produce an eclectic range of songs and sounds.
Bear’s influences include the likes of Rory Gallagher, Andy Summers and John Martyn.
