Well-loved pieces by significant composers such as Tallis, Brahms, Rachmaninov, Mozart and Stanford, are directly contrasted with contemporary reflections by living composers, producing dramatically distinctive pairings, or in some cases, trios. Texts set in the Renaissance, Baroque and Romantic eras become tantalisingly re-imagined in the hands of twenty-first century composers such as Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Gareth Treseder, Lucy Walker and Oli Tarney.
