GRAYSWOOD OPEN GARDENS SUNDAY 1ST JUNE 11.30 – 4.30
From the White House go over the road to All Saints Church which will be open all day. The church was built from local Bargate stone in 1901 and designed by Axel Haig, a Swedish naval architect and local resident. Follow the trail through the churchyard and church to discover the interesting architectural features and gravestones.
Just a little way up the road is Findings Cottage, with its pretty cottage garden. There’s a herbaceous border behind the house and beyond, the garden slopes away through shaded terraces where primroses, brunnera and spring bulbs do well. Kate is renovating the area by the lower wall and has just put in a hawthorn hedge.
