Labor Day Trios

The Format:

First round (games 1-4) (pairings randomly drawn):

Qualifying Round

After 4 games, the top 8 teams will qualify for the Elite Eight round. This will be determined by handicap series score. Wins and losses do not count. You will bowl with/against the same team all 4 games. You will start on a pair and move one pair to your right after games 1, 2 and 3. If there is a tie between ANY teams after the qualifying round, the tiebreaker will be the HIGHEST TEAM GAME bowled IN ANY OF THE 4 GAMES between the teams that tied.



Second round:

Match-play; the four winners from this round will advance to the Final Four; the four losing teams will go home. Match-ups are determined from first round results with the #1 seed vs. #8 seed; #2 seed vs. #7 seed; #3 seed vs. #6 seed; #4 seed vs. #5 seed. Brackets will be listed later in this document.



Third round:

Match-play; the two winners from this round will move on to the finals; the 3rd and 4th place winners will be determined by handicap pin-fall in their losses; the higher score of the losing team will take 3rd place, the lower score will take 4th place.



Fourth Round:

Winner will receive 1st place; losing team will take 2nd place. In the event of a tie, each team will select one bowler to compete against a bowler of the other team’s choosing in a one on one match-up (10 frames).
