Want to learn how to properly care for your fruit trees and improve their health and production? Join the City of Harvard and members of the Tree Board for a hands-on Fruit Tree Pruning Class led by Tree Board members — including certified arborists — who will guide you through the fundamentals of pruning.

Class Topics Include:
✅ Introduction to fruit tree care
✅ Why pruning is important
✅ When to prune fruit trees
✅ Proper tools and techniques
✅ How to safely and effectively prune
🌱 Hands-On Learning:
The class will begin indoors at the library and then move outdoors to nearby fruit trees for a live pruning demonstration. Participants will also have the opportunity to try pruning themselves with guidance from instructors.
👉 Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves.
Pruning tools will be provided.
This is a great opportunity for homeowners, gardeners, and anyone interested in learning practical tree care skills while helping keep Harvard’s urban forest healthy and thriving!
