Thamar will delve into the evolution of local government in Harrow, touching on key developments such as the response to cholera, the establishment of the Metropolitan Police, the workhouse system, and the rise of state education. With personal anecdotes from her husband, who moved to Harrow as a boy in 1965, the session will also reflect on life in Harrow 60 years ago, enriched by stories and reminiscences from residents. Join us for an engaging journey through Harrow’s history, celebrating its evolution and heritage.
