Would you or someone you know be interested in a Mindful Grieving workshop?
Grief arrives in many forms, but winter is the season it may become especially challenging to manage. Denial is unhelpful, and pushing it down so that grief can settle deep into the body creates further detrimental effects on our physical, mental, and emotional health.
While this small workshop is not a substitute for talking therapy, it can be an effective supplement to other treatments for grief and loss.
The afternoon will be an opportunity to share time in a cosy space with a small group of six who are on their own journey of grief and loss. The workshop will include:
• gentle, therapeutic yoga intended to create spaciousness in the body where grief may have settled causing tension or discomfort,
• a chance to journal thoughts or emotions which may arise,
• mindful meditation to cultivate body awareness at a time we often feel disconnected,
• a sharing circle for support, free from judgement,
• a grounding breath practice,
• and warming herbal teas and light snacks throughout.

Informed by my 200hr certification in Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy, in addition to my other extensive training, this workshop introduces a rare opportunity allowing gentle movement and breathwork to begin to shift grief within the body. Future sessions may invite collaborations with local bereavement therapists.
