Online registration closes at 4/23/26 11:59 PM (CDT).
Registrations can be removed until 4/16/26 11:59 PM (CDT).
Pre-registration (online) price per splash for this event is $25.00 (USD) per dog. Payment is due upon check-in.
Splashes can be purchased on-site the day of the event for $30.00 (USD) per dog.
Payment is required at check-in for all pre-registered splashes. Refunds will not be issued if you fail to show up for your turn.

A NADD Registration Number is required to enter, purchase here for $35.00.
Splashes include up to three minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps. You must inform the judge prior to your jump if you want it to be considered a "practice jump".
This event is an Open Splash event.
The time for each splash for the day will be set such as 9am for example for all the splashes. You have between the posted start time and end time (either before AR starts or the end of the last day, usually 3pm) to complete your splashes for the day. When you check in you will be handed Splash Cards for each splash that you pay for. When you are ready to jump during the day, hand a splash card to the wrangler to get put into the running order. It is the handler's responsibility to be sure to be present it before their turn to jump. Please be aware that at many events, the running order board fills very quickly and early in the day.
Each distance jumping Splash allows 2 judged jumps, back to back. The longest jump of them will be your Qualifying Score.
You can earn a Diving Dog Title at this event. You must have five Qualifying Scores within a Division. NADD titles are recognized by the AKC and CKC through their recognition programs. View their applications here (AKC) and here (CKC).

Independent Event Finals
This event will have an independent Facility Finals. The finals will not count towards NADD jumps (averages, rankings, etc).
At least 3 jumps are required to participate in independent event finals.
Try-Its At This Event
Try-its will be allowed as space permits after distance splashes and during Splashes if no competitors are waiting to jump. Try-its cost $15.00.

Event Description
2026 Spring Opener Welcome Back - We've missed you!
Join us for a bark-tastic Derby themed North American Diving Dogs event from May 1std through May 3rd kicking off the 2026 spring season. Dive into the excitement with the Jump Card system and experience top-tier canine athleticism using NADD Official Bumpers AR and HD.
We will have a live broadcast of races throughout the day and of course, the Kentucky Derby.

We’re running a full weekend of Distance Splashes, Hydro Dash (HD), and Air Retrieve (AR).

Accessible dock with wheelchair lift. Be aware this is an outdoor event with grass and gravel. - Inclusive environment. - NADD Bumper will be used for all AR/HD rounds.
Beautiful historic Mercer Co KY just off of the bourbon trail, close to Herrington Lake, Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, Fort Harrod and lots of festival activities in Downtown Harrodsburg such as Friday Nights on Main.

We will run HD first, then switch to AR. - running order determined by facility

Jump cards accepted starting 9:00 AM.
Distance splashes start at 9:30 AM.
AR signups open at 9:00 for 12:00–1:00 PM slot.
Distance splashes resume at 1:00 PM, with remaining AR rounds scheduled after Distance concludes (approximate finish ~5:00 PM). - AR running order set by facility
Sunday
Jump cards accepted starting 9:00 AM.
Distance slashes start at 9:30 AM.
HD signups open at 9:00 am for 12:00–1:00 PM time slot. Running Order set by facility.
Distance resumes at 1:00 PM, with remaining HD rounds scheduled after Distance concludes and try-its are finished. (approximate finish ~5:30 PM).
Signup for the noon AR/HD open at 9:00 and are limited to the number of competitors we can get through in the one hour window.
We recommend submitting jump cards early to help the event run on schedule and to secure your desired times. - You may jump back to back time slots, however one must come off of the dock and go back up to reset the 3 minute time clock.
Scoring, Finals & Award
Qualifying jump, Personal Best, and Title ribbons will be awarded.
Facility finals will be run according to NADD criteria.
H AR D Charger 1st Place Awards
Ribbons must be picked up at the event; we cannot mail ribbons.
Independent Facility Championship eligibility requires a minimum of three jumps at at least four different events during the year. Championship awards will be given after the last event of the year (not at the end of the season). Teams must be present for jump‑offs and the award ceremony to receive championship awards.
Costume Contest
Prizes for 1st and 2nd place Best Themed Costume.
Costumes cannot be on dogs during competition jumps.
Conduct & Safety
Handlers are responsible for the dog’s safety, behavior, and cleanup.
Please pay attention and be on deck ready to take the dock for your time slot. If you are not at the dock, you may be skipped and worked in later as time allows.
Signing up for the noon one hour slot does not guarantee you will be able to complete your AR/HD at noon. We will run as many docs as the 1 hour time window allows. Remaining dogs will compete in the speciality after conclusion of distance splashes.
Keep at least 10 ft distance from pool sides during competition
Judge's area is off limits during competition
Please do not allow your dog on the stairs while competitors are still on the dock
Do not open the gate to the dock until the current dog has exited the gate to the exit stairs.
