This first week of advent we are focusing on hope, but it’s a different kind of hope than the world has to offer. Biblical hope is different from optimism.

The Bible describes a kind of hope that is rooted in God’s unchanging character rather than mere wishful thinking. When we have this kind of hope, we can face even the darkest circumstances with the expectation that God will fulfill His promises.
