Teddy Bears plan Park take-over at their annual Harpenden picnic!
Harpenden’s children and their bears are cordially invited to join Harpenden Town Council at the Teddy Bears’ Picnic in Rothamsted Park on Wednesday 6th August, 11am – 2pm. This exciting free to attend event is always popular with pre-schoolers and their families and carers, and is organised to coincide with National Play Day – a national celebration of children’s right to play and a campaign to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.
This year, the Teddy Bears’ Picnic will include a variety of activities and entertainment including Teddy Bears’ Hospital, engaging entertainment by Cha Char Chimps, Story Time by Harpenden Library, outdoor games, Sandy Art, a bouncy castle and soft play, face painting and a fantastic gym show and activities by The Little Gym.
In addition there will be stalls at the event hosted by sponsors, The Children’s Clinic, Neves, Nursery on the Green and Lyndhurst Independent Financial Advisors, plus incredible charities The Human Milk Foundation, James Marshall Foundation and Harpenden Child Contact Centre.
A huge thank you to our Gold Sponsors Nursery on the Green and The Children’s Clinic, two amazing local companies providing great support to this event! Our Sponsors enable us to organise amazing events and occassions like the Teddy Bears' Picnic really do make such a huge difference to the Harpenden community.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along a picnic blanket, refreshments, bags of energy and of course their favourite bear! The Town Council organisers will be handing out lost children’s wrist bands on the day at the Information desk. Attendees will also be able to purchase tickets for Sandy Art and Face Paints.
