Guided Walk - Get to know Harpenden Common

Alex Melson, Green Space Development Manager at Harpenden Town Council, will lead a guided walk around Harpenden Common explaining the green space development plans and activity there. We will learn about the history of the common, the management of its grasslands, woods and ponds.

The event is free, however booking is essential. Walk starting at 7.30pm for one hour followed by further discussion in local pub.

Harpenden Common is a place of natural scenic beauty. A Green Flag Award winning site since 2007, the Common stretches almost two miles over 233 acres of land from the centre of Harpenden southwards and provides residents and visitors alike with an unsurpassed amenity and recreational resource. The Common is home to over 400 species of flora and fauna and is recognised as a County Wildlife Site.
