Series: Who runs the narrative in the RGV?

Narratives help us make sense of the world. They shape our beliefs and values, and they can inspire us to take action and spark social change.

Join Ruido Studios on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 PM for the kick-off to our fall series “Who Runs the Narrative in the RGV?” Through this series, we’ll explore how narratives spread across our border region, particularly through news, independent media, art, and community hubs or “third-spaces”. During this event at Cactus Valley Art, we will also launch a new database that tracks media outlets in the RGV based on research by our Spring 2025 Ruidosos Fellows. We are proud to collaborate with Jadwa Table as our food vendor for the evening.
