Underwater Forensic Course (11-13 July)

Dr. Bill Belcher, an archaeologist and is a board-certified forensic anthropologist (American Board of Forensic Anthropology) will be offering Underwater Forensic Course 11-13 July 2025.

This course is most valuable for law enforcement and first responders that may be responsible for search and recovery of evidence. Participants from law enforcement and first responders should be prepared to use their specific agency protocols or at least discuss them.

The primary emphasis in this course is search techniques, evidence recovery, and evidence processing (chain of custody, etc.). Practical skills will be searching in low-visibility water, recovery of evidence, and processing proper documentation of said evidence.

Minimum Requirements: Open Water Certification
Preferred: Law enforcement and first responders
Class Limit: 10 individuals
