Participants will develop a circular composition incorporating a sunflower bloom. The instructor will introduce basic color mixing, and watercolor techniques including flat and graduated washes, glazing, blotting, and adding pen and ink.
Price of course includes all materials needed. Participants will leave the workshop with a matted artwork.
The instructor has taught art in public schools in grades K-12 for 30 years and also teaches workshops for adults. She currently teaches drawing and painting courses for high school-aged students. Her artwork is based on flowers and nature-based subject matter. She works mostly in watercolor, but also enjoys creating with acrylics, oils, pen and ink, colored pencils, and soft chalk pastels.
