This holiday season, The Blue Ribbon Project is honored to be selected as the featured local nonprofit partner for the 2025 Books-A-Million Holiday Book and Toy Drive at both Arundel Mills and Columbia Mall locations. From October 19th until December 7th, 2025, customers at Books-A-Million can purchase and donate new books, toys, and other gifts that will be delivered directly to children and youth in foster care and those impacted by child abuse throughout Maryland.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Books-A-Million at both Arundel Mills and Columbia Mall,” said Taylor Pyles, Founder and Executive Director of The Blue Ribbon Project. “These donations will bring joy and comfort to local children in care during the holidays—often a difficult time for those who have experienced trauma or are separated from their families. Community support like this truly makes a difference.”
How You Can Help
When you visit Books-A-Million at Arundel Mills or Columbia Mall this holiday season, simply select a book, toy, or gift from the display or store shelves and let the cashier know you’d like to donate it to The Blue Ribbon Project. All donations will be collected and distributed through our Backpacks of Love and Mirah’s Closet programs, ensuring that every item goes directly to a child or teen in need.
You can also round up your purchase at checkout to further support our programs. Every little bit helps provide hope, healing, and a sense of belonging for local foster youth.
