You are warmly invited to join the opening of There was a wound; we dwelled at Haninge konsthall.
Drawing on Alice Hattrick’s book Ill Feelings, this group exhibition brings together the work of Sam Druant, Maria Hardin, Anna Amalie Richelsen, and Sara Wylie. There was a wound; we dwelled lays bare invisible female pain and bodily failures, while articulating the potential of collective thinking and the relationality of our bodies.
A collective reading, hosted by Sam Druant and Maria Hardin, will complement the exhibition on Saturday 6th of September, taking place from 13-15h. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with seating options for all.
The exhibition is open:
4 September 17:00 – 19:00
5 September 09:00 – 17:00
6 September 10:00 – 16:00
7 September 12:00 – 16:00
The exhibition, curated by Isa Van den Wouwer, came into fruition through a close collaboration with Haninge Konsthall, and is a degree project as part of Curating Art, International Master’s Programme at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics, Stockholm University. The visual identity is designed by Katrín Guðrún Helgadóttir.
