Maple Tree Tap

It's that time of year again! Bring the family out for our annual Maple Tree Tap at Botna Bend Park and learn the basics of syrup making—from tapping the trees to bottling the final product. You'll even get to explore the syrup shack at Botna Bend and learn how our park rangers and volunteers make this sweet, sticky treat for our annual Pancake Feed every fall.

Botna Bend Park syrup samples will also be available **as supplies last.**

If temperatures are cooperative and the sap is flowing, you'll also have an opportunity to taste the fresh sap as it flows from a maple tree!

This event is free with a $3 park entry fee or an annual permit, open to all ages, and will take place outside; please dress for the weather. This event is open house-style. We recommend arriving by 1:00 p.m. to give yourself enough time to visit all education stations.

Special thanks to The Feed Trough which will be onsite offering delicious eats for visitors.

Please note: As much as we'd like to have syrup available for sale, all syrup produced is needed for our annual Pancake Feed in the fall (date coming soon!). Any surplus that might be available may be sold then. Thank you!
