OuLiPo Writing Workshop

Workshop Description

Workshop for the Potential of Literature: an intensive writing class, inspired by the french literary group, Oulipo. Exercises include: automatic writing, antonymics (take an existing text and turn it into the opposite), and lipograms (write omitting one letter of the alphabet). This workshop is FREE. Bring writing materials and generate new work.

Workshop Leader Bio

Lynn Crawford is a fiction writer and art critic who is a founding board member of MOCAD (Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit) and a Kresge Literary Arts Fellow. She is the author of several books including: Solo, Simply Separate People, Fortification Resort (series of visual art related sestinas), Shankus & KItto: A Saga and Paula Regossy(a detective novel riffing on artists and art spaces in Detroit). Her current novel in progress is a family saga titled Closely Touched Things. She lives with her family north of Detroit.
