We’re hosting our first ever workshop series as part of the celebrations for our 10th year of Shakespeare productions.
Led by director Philip Leone-Ganado, these workshops are a unique opportunity to dive into Shakespeare and deepen your understanding, appreciation and comfort with these incredible works.
Whether you’re an actor, student or even a theatre goer looking to get more from your trips to the theatre, we have different workshops catering for all levels of prior experience and familiarity and offering a special glimpse behind the curtain of the trademark WhatsTheirNames brand of Shakespeare.
All workshops are suitable for participants aged 16 and above.

Do you want to get to know some of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies like never before? In each session, we’ll be diving deep into one of the plays, with active hands-on exploration of key themes, characters and scenes. Ideal for anyone from theatre practitioners to students and curious audience members, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the play and how it can be brought to life through performance, staging and interpretation. No acting experience is required, just come ready to play and discover.
MASTERCLASS: MONOLOGUE GYM
August 2nd - 10am-2pm
For actors looking to enhance their skills in working with Shakespeare’s text or preparing specific texts for performance or audition. Bring in a Shakespeare monologue of your choice that you wish to workshop or explore. Through work on your own and others’ monologues, you’ll gain practical tools for unlocking the language, rhythm, and emotional depth of Shakespeare's writing. Perfect your monologue and equip yourself to handle new ones with ease.
INTRODUCTION TO SHAKESPEARE PERFORMANCE

Are you a student or actor with limited experience working with Shakespeare? Get rid of any fear you may have in approaching his works with a practical hands-on session focused on demystifying and unlocking the text. From vocal and physical embodiment to techniques for understanding verse structure, imagery and character motivation, we’ll break down everything you need to bring Shakespeare’s words to life in your performance.
