A rare local appearance from Oldfield Youth Club (Simon Rivers, Kim Rivers, Neil Palmer and Allison Thomson) - playing a selection of songs from their debut Album 'The Hanworth are Coming' and their forthcoming album in progress - this promises to be a wonderful evening - with the added attraction of R J Hacker (Morton Valence) - singer song-writer extraordinaire playing a solo set you will not want to miss.

Oldfield Youth Club - A near-invisible presence on the margins of underground pop, Simon Rivers is well into his fourth decade of making sweet, powerful, crushing records – with the Last Party, the Bitter Springs and now Oldfield Youth Club. Weaving the messy threads of suburban life into dense tapestries, he has something of the Go-Betweens' gift for melody, something of Mark E Smith’s ear for language, something of Vic Godard’s common touch, and almost none of the acclaim that should have been his due. Boo hoo.

R J Hacker - South London born singer songwriter RJ Hacker - sometimes known simply as 'Hacker' - has been one half of the 'urban country' duo Morton Valence for more years than he would care to remember. As well as participating in a whole host of collaborations with the likes of BJ Cole, Band of Holy Joy and Alabama 3, to mention just 3. Finally in 2025 he has decided to strike out on his own.
