The Fort Stevens "ROCK THE JETTY" Summer Concert is ready to party with you and give you a preview of what is to come for the Summer's End Music Festival! Featuring Schwing, 90's & Pretty Penny, Stone Temple Pilot Tribute Band. This will be the 4th event in the 2025 Summer Music Series, offered as a free event to the community by the Friends of Old Fort Stevens and Oregon State Parks.
SCHWING:
A Pacific Northwest tribute band that brings the diverse musical styles of the 1990s together in one exhilarating show. From grunge to pop, indie to Americana, punk to rap-rock, this trio’s high-energy performances transport listeners back to a time when alternative music ruled the airwaves and create an insatiable desire to get jiggy on the dance floor. So pull your flannel shirts out of storage, grab a handful of butterfly clips, and power on those gigapets: the 90s are back. Boo yah!
Formed in 2011, Schwing exists to spread awareness of the dope that is 90s music. Featuring spot-on renditions of both transcendent classics and obscure one-hit wonders, lush vocal harmonies, and exceptional showmanship, this band’s nostalgic party experience has captivated audiences at countless clubs and events throughout western and central Oregon, including the Big D Concert Series (Dallas, OR), Keizer Rotary Concert Series (Keizer, OR), and the Lebanon Brewfest (Lebanon, OR).

PRETTY PENNY:
Pretty Penny was created in Portland Oregon in 2024 & inspired by the iconic super group, Stone Temple Pilots, of the 1990's.
The Stone Temple Pilots produced many hit songs during this decade & was led by their talented & overly ostentatious frontman, Scott Weiland. Pretty Penny's lead vocalist, Jeff Roussos, sounds nearly identical to Scott Weiland's tone & timbre. Jeff has diligently trained himself to duplicate Scott's phrasing & vocal dynamics throughout the setlist. In fact, no one else in the country comes closer to the original STP sound than our Mr. Jeff Roussos! It is Jeff's absolute passion for the Stone Temple Pilots music that fuels his drive & attention to vocal detail.
Jeff has been able to seek out & find three kindred-spirit musicians, all of whom share the love for the Stone Temple Pilots & who were familiar with their songbook. With Jarrod Karnofski effortlessly dancing through meticulous basslines on his 10-string bass guitar & Jeff Green, a lifelong precision drummer, pounding the skins on his monstrous, custom-built drum kit, together they form a dramatic & imposing rhythm section, one which any band would be zealous to call their own. The fourth member of the Pretty Penny is Christopher Mijares, who not only richochets around the stage but also floats his fingers fluently about the guitar frets like the consummate as-wielding professional that he is. Chris has acquired the requisite equipment to generate the acrimonious tone that would make STP's guitarist, Dean DeLeo, proud.
All of the band members are the original founders of Pretty Penny & are dedicated to being the #1 sounding Stone Temple Pilots tribute in the United States.
