Moving to a new place is a big step—but it’s one that doesn’t have to be taken alone. Southern Grampians Shire Council, along with the residents of the Shire are extremely pleased to extend a warm welcome to our newest friends, colleagues and neighbours.
On Monday 16 June, Council will host the annual New Residents Function to welcome new residents, or any existing locals who are interested in becoming more active in the community.
Expect to find friendly advice and information from volunteer organisations, sports teams, community groups and a room full of people excited to help you find your bearings in a new town. You’ll have the chance to connect with anyone from lifelong residents to other newcomers. Whether you’ve just moved here or have been quietly settling in for a while, we’d love to meet you and help you feel at home.
Enjoy a relaxed evening with refreshments and finger food provided, including a few ice-breaking beverages to get the conversations flowing.
So come along, bring your family or a friend, and let us help you find your people, your passions, and your place in our wonderful region.
Join us at 6.00pm on Monday 16 June in the Greater Hamilton Library, 105 Brown Street, Hamilton.
Please RSVP by Friday 13 June to Eda Williamson on 5573 0444 or at
